This is a multi- and interdisciplinary studio. Specialties include painting, sculpture, engraving, illustration, graphic design, mosaic, and more. The studio is committed to the creation of fine art work, illustrations for publication, art courses, and the restoration of antiques.
Research work and study, as well as enhancing and maintaining the studio and its assets, are also part of our daily activity.
The studio contains also an always growing collection of antique textiles and artifacts, Natural History specimens, and the photo archives. It represents a prime reference source for many projects as well as for instructional purposes. The collection of originals includes extraordinary drawings and illustrations from various artists.
Along with the organic garden, the care and constant improvement of the studio and its contents provides us with plenty of busy time, seven days a week, in a nearly monastic environment.
Restoration of antiques is now a non-profit endeavor that we undertake to help preserve the fantastic art heritage of our local community. A painstaking process, involving much verification, learning of art techniques from the old masters and artisans, as well as modern cleansing, preservation and reintegration methods, is required for this mission. The sculptor's know-how is indispensable when it comes to reconstructing lost parts from these works of art.
Mosaics, a millenary art form, are created in the studio using the same methods as 2,000 years ago. Roman mosaics made again in Hispania with pride.
